In June 2007 the London-based private equity fund BlueGem Capital Partners became a minority partner in Olicar, with a 49.9% share. Fund founder Marco Capello and directors Emilio Di Spiezio Sardo and Marco Anatriello joined Olicar’s board. Control of the company, as well as strategic and operational management, remained in the hands of the Bertello family and the already-existing management, represented on the board by Corrado and Stefano Bertello and Paolo Fusaro.
