Renewable Energy

In line with the relevant European directive, Italy has set the objective of developing the country’s renewable energy sources so that they account for 17% of total national energy consumption by 2020 (from 5.2% in 2005). Olicar understands and accepts the importance of the challenge and represents an ideal technical partner for public and private entities interested in developing renewable-source projects and plants. Technical skills at the highest level mean the company can guarantee the greatest competitiveness in economic terms, as well as maximum care and respect for the environment. The company is not interested in short-term speculation, but plans and manages energy systems, investing in technology that guarantees the best cost-benefit performance throughout the duration of the contract.

Renewable energy sources (sun, wind, water, biomass, geothermics) are resources generally available and usable at a local level, and if correctly set up and managed they are not subject to the supply problems of conventional natural energy sources (gas, oil, coal). Their primarily decentralized nature represents a great opportunity for local communities and areas, both in terms of greater employment and reduced vulnerability to the price increases of fossil fuels.
